Our Shelter

That’s why our storm shelters aren’t just concrete boxes — they’re confidence cast in stone.
Our shelters are made from 5,000 psi concrete, reinforced with ½-inch rebar every 12 inches, and strengthened with 10-gauge steel mesh. Translation? This thing’s built like a bunker — because that’s exactly what it is.
You’ll step down into safety on powder-coated steel stairs, with a sturdy railing to guide your way.
Need power down there? We’ve got a port ready for electrical wiring.
And the door? That’s no afterthought. It’s 12-gauge steel, powder coated, with a custom 3-point latching system — strong enough to withstand impact, yet designed to open from the inside, even if damaged. Because when the storm’s raging outside, the last thing you need is to feel trapped inside.
These shelters meet FEMA’s highest standards and passed the Wind Science & Engineering testing at Texas Tech University with flying colors. Translation: they’re not just built tough — they’re proven.
Our Install
Sheltris Storm Shelter Installation Overview
• Excavate to a depth of 52 inches, with a length of 111 inches and a width of 87 inches. This allows for a 6-inch gravel base and leaves 3 inches of the shelter base exposed above ground.
• Compact soil after setting the base to ensure stability.
• Seal the Lid: Apply butyl sealant around the base lip. Carefully set the lid onto the base, making sure not to dislodge the seal.
• Secure the Shelter: Use the provided straps and bolts to anchor the lid in place.
• Final Grading: Slope soil away from the shelter to direct water runoff and improve drainage.
